pay to volunteer?
You are not paying for your volunteer work; you are
paying for your local accommodation, meals, airport transfers, program placement
and other arrangements made on your behalf.
How
can I be sure that Crossover Volunteer Ghana in a legitimate organisation?
We are a private, Non Government Organization (NGO),
based in
and Ghana . Additionally, when you apply, we can
provide you with contact information for previous volunteers if you wish.
Where
can Volunteers come from?
Volunteers
can come from anywhere in the world. You will however need to check visa
requirements applicable to your country.
Is
there a discount available is I volunteer with someone else?
Yes, please contact us.
Are
there discounts for groups?
Group fees are available for those going under the
supervision of one team leader. Specific details in regards to this can be
requested.
What
if I need to postpone my placement?
There's
no problem if you need to postpone your placement as your fee is fully
transferable and valid for 12 months. This provides CVG volunteers the
freedom to participate at a later date if your circumstances change

Are
program fees subject to change?
Fees
are reviewed on a half yearly basis. Any changes to fees will be announced as a
news item and advised at least 2 weeks prior to the fee change taking place

the fees and expenses tax deductible?
CVG
is a Ghanaian registered NGO, therefore fees and expenses are not tax
deductible
Do
I need travel insurance?
Yes
- travel insurance is compulsory for CVG volunteers. You may take out insurance
cover through any provider of your choice but please ensure that volunteering
is covered by your policy as some policies do not cover volunteer placements.
Who
arranges my flights?
You
do. Once you have confirmed your volunteer placement you are free to start
booking your flights with whomever you choose. However we will need to be
advised of the date and time you are flying in and your flight number so we can
make the necessary arrangements for your stay.
